Environmental Impact Assessment Reporting
Environmental Impact Assessment (E.I.A) is the process that quantifies the anticipated effects a proposed development or project of qualifying scale will have on the environment. Where the likely effects are unacceptable, design or other relevant mitigation measures can be implemented to avoid or reduce such impact to an acceptable level. An Environmental Impact Assessment Report (E.I.A.R) is a document produced during the course of this process.
Hydrec Environmental Consulting has experience in the preparation of robust E.I.A.Rs designed to comply with the E.I.A Directive (Council Directive 85/337/EEC as amended by Directive 97/11/EC & 2003/35/EC and subsequent amendments).
We can lead clients through each stage of the E.I.A process, from screening & scoping to the preparation of individual chapters or full final reports and implementation of mitigation and monitoring measures. Hydrec Environmental Consulting has particular expertise in the hydrological, geological, hydrogeological and aquatic ecological aspects of the assessment. Should expert advice be required in relation to other environmental factors commonly addressed in the E.I.A.R process (e.g. traffic, cultural, economic), we can call upon a network of specialist subcontractors to work with us.
